WIESENTHAL SIMON: (1908-2005) Jewish Austrian Holocaust survivor and Nazi hunter. T.L.S., S Wiesenthal, one page, 4to, Vienna, 5th May 1971, to Josef Toch (´Lieber Freund´), on the printed stationery of the Documentation Centre of the Association of Jewish Victims of the Nazi Regime, in German. Wiesenthal states, in part, ´Seit August vorigen Jahres liegt bei mir ein Brief, den ich nicht beantworten kann. Vielleicht weist Du etwas in dieser Sache´ (Translation: ´Since August last year I have had a letter that I can't answer. Perhaps you know something about this matter´). Together with a blue ink signature (´S Wiesenthal´) and date, 30th July 1972, in Wiesenthal´s hand, to the verso of his personal printed oblong 12mo Visiting Card, featuring his printed name as director of the Documentation Centre of the Association of Jewish Victims of the Nazi Regime to the centre, and telephone numbers and addresses of his office and private residence in Vienna to the lower corners.
