B., to one side of a plain correspondence card, Paris, 22nd November 1973, to Jean, in French. Beckett writes, in full, ´Le numero que vous m´avez donne ne marche pas. Je serai au foyer de l´Hotel St Jacques (PLM) demain mardi a midi. Venez si vous pouvez, a supposer que vous receviez ce mot a temps´ (Translation: ´The number you gave me doesn't work. I'll be at the foyer of the Hotel St Jacques (PLM) tomorrow Tuesday at noon. Come if you can, assuming you receive this note in time´). EX
