PAGNOL MARCEL: (1895-1974) French film director, Novelist and Playwright. A boldly written A.L.S., Marcel Pagnol, a large and attractive signature, one page, 4to, n.p., 9th March 1931, in French. Pagnol sends a short letter related to the purchase of a property, stating ‘ Comme je viens d´acheter plusieures propriétés, il m´est impossible d´accepter votre offre, qui me parait pourtant fort intéressante...´ (Translation: " Because I have recently purchased several properties, it is impossible for me to accept your offer which however seems to me quite interesting...")
