KISCH FREDERICK: (1888-1943) - KISCH FREDERICK: (1888-1943) British Brigadier and Zionist leader, the highest ranking Jew to seve in the British Army. Kisch was killed in action during the Battle of Wadi Akarit in World War II. The personal printed oblong 12mo Visiting Card of Kisch and his wife, unsigned, featuring their printed names ( ´Lt. Colonel & Mrs. F. H. Kisch´ ) to the centre and address at Mount Carmel, Haifa, to the lower corner. With several words of Hebrew text in fountain pen ink, untranslated and presumably in the hand of Kisch. Scarce. VG
