CHARPENTIER GUSTAVE: (1860-1956) - CHARPENTIER GUSTAVE: (1860-1956) French composer, remembered for his opera Louise (1900). A very attractive Autograph Musical Quote signed ` Gustave Charpentier ´, Brussels, 9th February 1907, to the front of a postcard showing a pencil colour painting of a Parisian scene on the banks of the Seine. Charpentier cleanly pens a fountain pen ink quote of three bars, which he entitles Louise, 2º Acte, also adding in his hand the lyrics beneath the quote ` Oh! moi quand je suis dans la rue, tout mon être prend feu´ from Louise.
