[NICHOLAS II & NIKOLAEVICH ALEXEI]: An excellent 11.5 x 15.5 unsigned photograph, the attractive image showing Tsar Nicholas II seated in a full length formal pose, wearing his military uniform, in his capacity as Supreme Commandant of the Russian armies, and Tsesarevich Alexei Nikolaevich, his son, standing alongside, and also wearing his military uniform as Honorary Chief of the Cadet Navy Corps. To the matted brown upper border bearing an Imperial coat of arms, and to the matted lower border the printed text presenting the Tsar and Tsesarevich with their military ranks. With an extremely small area of paper loss to the bottom left corner of the photograph, left matted edge very slightly trimmed and a very small tear to the upper matted edge, otherwise VG £150-200
