BOYER ALEXIS : (1757-1833) French Anatomist and Surgeon who was appointed by Napoleon Imperial family surgeon and accompanied the Emperor in the Prussia and Poland campaigns. A.L.S., `Boyer´, one page, 4to, Paris, 17th September 1808, to Germain la Rousserie de Neuvic, in French. Boyer, in his capacity as professor and chief-surgeon of the Medicine school and first surgeon of His Majesty the Emperor of the French, signs a certificate explaining that La Rousserie has fulfilled his tasks with zeal at the hospital La Charité. Countersigned by the Mayor of tenth arrondissement of Paris Urbain Firmin Piault (1757-1848), alongside an eagle stamp. The document bears an attractive blind embossed seal. VG £100-120
