FRANCE ANATOLE: (1844-1924) French Poet & Novelist, Nobel Prize winner for Literature 1921. An excellent and very unusual 4to notebook, hardback cover, bearing a label affixed to the cover stating ''Anatole France - Mithridate'', containing multiple annotations related to a work projet in France´s hand, in French. The notebook contains sixty pages in total, thirty two of them including hand written annotations, comments, thoughts, etc.. all referring to his work project of Mithridate. Some of the annotations stating randomly in part ''Kingdom of Mithridate - figure-costume-character- Myth of Athena - In 4 campaigns the young Mithridate obtained magnificient cities, Theodosie.. - Religion of the Mithridate people, they adore Ormuz - Their religion, the fire - His son, his daughters, wives, Harem - Last battle against Romans, night , escape -Plutarch - Pompeii - Death of the myth - The harem massacre - after the defeat - The Queen Stratonice did not defend properly Symphorion. Furious having been abandoned by Mithridate
