Zola responds to his correspondent and states `Dear Sir, I will be in Paris until the end of the month of July, and the best way to meet me will be that you come to see me at nine in the evening. Not on Thursdays. Cordially..´ Will you be available for dinner on Thursday? We will have the Charpentier family attending the dinner, and I write to Antoine and ask him to join us, because I have promised to read ''Madeleine'' to the Charpentier. Nevertheless I will read it even if Antoine cannot come. You know this work but even so I´ll be happy if you can join us.´ Accompanied by the original envelope, post-stamped, with addressee also in his hand.VG £250-350
