VRACIU ALEXANDER: (1918-2015) American Commander and United States Navy fighter ace of World War II, credited with 19 victories. Selection of ten signed printed images of various sizes (largest 11.5 x 8; each neatly removed from books or magazines) and a signed postcard (to the verso), each of the different images depicting Vraciu or his aircraft including his Grumann F6F-3 Hellcat, one showing him onboard the USS Intrepid with his aircraft in February 1944, and another of Vraciu in the cockpit of his aircraft following the ´Mission Beyond Darkness´, Battle of the Phillipine Sea, on 20th June 1944 etc. All are signed in black ink to clear areas, in a couple of instances also adding his rank etc. beneath his signature.
