COWARD NOEL: (1899-1973) English actor, playwright and composer, Academy Award winner. A.L.S., Noel, one page, 4to, Burton Mews, South Eaton Place, London, 13th June 1947, to 'My Dear Denys'. Coward writes a comforting letter, in full, 'Of course I understand absolutely perfectly. Having had nerve trouble myself in the past I sympathise with your point of view completely. Try your best to relax & emerge from the tunnel. It would be a pity were you to give up the theatre for ever as you are a fine actor'. VG
