URE MARY: (1933-1975) Scottish actress, an Academy Award nominee. A good vintage signed 8 x 10 photograph of Ure in a smiling head and shoulders pose in costume as Mary Burroughs from the British adventure film Storm Over the Nile (1955), an adaptation of the novel The Four Feathers which represented Ure´s screen debut. Signed by the actress in blue fountain pen ink to a largely lighter area at the base of the image. Signed photographs of Ure are scarce as a result of her untimely death at the age of 42 following an accidental overdose. VG
