TOGLIATTI PALMIRO: (1893-1964) Italian politician who served as General Secretary of the Italian Communist Party 1926-34, 1938-64. A.L.S., Palmiro Togliatti, one page, 8vo, Rome, 13th June 1955, to Silvano Caselli, in Italian. Togliatti states that he has received his correspondent's publication, and admired it for its artistic excellence and taste, and further sends his thanks and respectful greetings and salutations. With blank integral leaf. Accompanied by the original envelope hand addressed by Togliatti. VG
