[NAZI OCCULT]: DARRE RICHARD WALTHER: (1895-1953) Argentinean-born SS-Obergruppenfuhrer of World War II. Reich Minister of Food and Agriculture 1933-42. T.L.S., R Walther Darre, one page, 4to, Berlin, 8th January 1940, to SS-Oberst [Wiligut], on Darre’s personal printed stationery, in German. Darre thanks Wiligut for their letter and informs him ‘I have at once arranged for Dr. Kinkelin to progress everything, and he will communicate to you the particulars on your common concern’. One small, closed tear to the centre of the page and a few very light, minimal creases to the edges, otherwise VG
Karl Maria Wiligut (1866-1946) Austrian occultist and SS-Brigadefuhrer. Wiligut, who also used the alias Weissthor, was employed within the personal staff and offices of Heinrich Himmler and Karl Wolff, and claimed to be in the tradition of a long line of German mystic teachers, reaching back into prehistoric times. He also claimed to have spiritual powers that allowed him direct access to genetic memories of his ancestors thousands of years in the past. Wiligut contributed significantly to the development of Wewelsburg as the order-castle and ceremonial centre of SS pseudo-religious practice and also designed the Totenkopfring, which Himmler personally awarded to prestigious SS officers.
Wilhelm Kinkelin (1896-1990) German physician and SS-Oberfuhrer who became chief of the Reichsbauernfuhrer in 1939. Kinkelin was also a Swabian homeland researcher before and after World War II.
