LINDBERG CHARLES W. (1920-2007) American Marine of World War II, one of the flag raisers during the Battle of Iwo Jima, 1945. Small selection of three different signed items comprsing a vintage First Day of Issue cover honouring the United States Marine Corps of the Armed Forces and featuring two images of battle scenes on Iwo Jima, post marked at Washington D.C., 11th July 1945, signed in later years by Lindberg with his name alone in black ink; a signed 12mo printed card by Lindberg featuring his address and telephone number and with an image of the flag raising; and a printed 4to text providing brief biographical details concerning Lindbergh and his participation in the flag raising at Iwo Jima, signed by Lindberg in black ink with his name alone at the conclusion.
