JOHNSON JOHNNIE: (1915-2001) English Air Vice Marshal, a fighter pilot and flying ace with the Royal Air Force during World War II, the highest scoring Western Allied fighter ace against the German Luftwaffe. Selection of eleven signed printed images of various sizes (largest 12 x 8; each neatly removed from books or magazines), a signed colour postcard photograph, and a printed excerpt from Wing Leader signed by Johnson, each of the different images featuring the pilot or his aircraft, one showing him with his dog Sally on a French airfield, another alongside Douglas Bader, various images of Spitfire aircraft, some in flight etc., and the excerpt being an account of a sortie given the codename Ramrod 792. One image is signed in pencil and the others in black inks, largely to clear areas of the images, all with his name alone. Generally VG, 13
