[ZOLA EMILE] LABORI FERNAND: (1860-1971) - [ZOLA EMILE] LABORI FERNAND: Emile Zola (1840-1902) French Novelist, Playwright and Journalist; F e rnand Labori (1860-1971) French attorney. He defended the accused in some of the most prominent political cases of his day. Among his noted clients was Alfred Dreyfuss who was eventually acquitted of treason and Emile Zola in the Dreyfus trial. During the Dreyfus trial, Labori was the victim of an assassination attempt.
