DUMAS ALEXANDRE: : Fils (1824-1895) French author and playwright. A.L.S., A Dumas f, one page, 8vo, n.p., n.d., to Monsieur Dutacy, in French. Dumas states that his father has asked him to write ‘et vous prie de faire compter les lettres du vicaire d'ici a demain’ (Translation: ‘and asks you to have the vicar’s letters counted by tomorrow’) and concludes by remarking ‘Vous avez trop d'esprit pour ne pas devenir…….’ (Translation: ‘You have too much wit not to become…….’). With blank integral leaf. A few minor ink blots caused by Dumas folding the letter before the ink had properly dried. VG
