DE FOREST LEE: (1873-1961) American inventor, an important early pioneer in electronics. A.L.S., Lee de Forest, to the verso of his personal printed oblong 12mo Visiting Card, featuring his printed name ( 'Lee De Forest, PH.D') to the centre of the recto, and address at the Radio Telephone Co., Wall Street, New York, at the base, n.d., to Madame Mazarin 'to whom I owe the most pleasant hour I have ever spent with my wireless telephone.
