HULL JOSEPHINE: (1886-1957) - HULL JOSEPHINE: (1886-1957) American actress, Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actress in 1950 for her role as Veta Louise Simmons in Harvey. A rare vintage signed and inscribed 3.5 x 5.5 photograph of Hull in a head and shoulders pose. Photograph by Moss of New York. Signed by the actress in bold, dark fountain pen ink to a largely light area of the image. Accompanied by the original envelope hand addressed by Hull and signed by her with her surname only in the return address panel, care of the Belasco Theatre, to the verso. Post marked at New York, 16th March 1954. About EX At the time of signing the present photograph Hull was appearing in The Solid Gold Cadillac (1954-55) which was to be her last Broadway play.
