L I Luba, two pages (written to the first and third sides of the bifolium), folio, Palacio do Planalto, Brasilia, 18th June 2003, to Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada (‘Grande e bom amigo’), in Portuguese. The official diplomatic letter is written on Lula da Silva’s official stationery featuring the gold printed coat of arms of Brazil at the head, and advises Sanchez de Lozada that the ambassador Stelio Marcos Amarante is now required to take up a new post and will no longer be the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Bolivia, further remarking ‘I am convinced that Mr. Stelio Marcos Amarante, during his stay in that post, will have done everything possible to deserve the esteem and benevolence of your Excellency, striving to maintain and increasingly strengthen the bonds of cordial friendship existing between our two countries’.
