FERDINAND II: (1810-1859) King of the Two Sicilies 1830-59. A clean L.S., `Ferdinando´, one page, 4to, Naples, 10th June 1837, to Her Majesty the Duchess of Parma, in Italian. Ferdinand II informs her correspondent about the recent wedding of his brother Prince Leopold, with Maria Vittoria of Savoy, stating in part `…ho la soddisfazione di annunziare alla Maestà Vostra, essersi celebrato in Torino il di primo di questo mese il matrimonio tra il mio dilettissimo germano, Sua Altezza Reale il Conte di Siracusa e la Serenissima Principessa Maria filiberta di Savoya…´ (Translation: “I have the satisfaction of announcing to Your Majesty that the marriage between my beloved brother, His Royal Highness the Count of Syracuse and the Most Serene Princess Maria Filiberta of Savoy, which was celebrated in Turin on the first of this month…. “) The letter bears a blind embossed seal to the upper left corner.
