LEOPOLD I: (1640-1705) Holy Roman Emperor, King of Hungary, Croatia and Bohemia, 1658-1705. L.S., ` Leopold´, one page, small 8vo, n.p., n.d. [1702], in German. Autograph annotation in the Emperor´s hand, five lines, stating ` Because the supplicant has few monetary means, his pension is granted but without any further consequences´. Below Leopold´s annotation, the letter bears a contemporary annotation in another hand, being a transcription of the Emperor´s text, probably because of the difficult reading of the manuscript text.
