IRWIN JAMES: (1930-1991) American astronaut, Lunar Module Pilot of the Apollo XV mission (1971) and the eight man to walk on the Moon. Signed and inscribed colour 10 x 8 photograph of Irwin standing in a full-length pose in his spacesuit on the Moon’s surface, at the Hadley-Apennine landing site, as he salutes the United States flag. The Lunar Module ‘Falcon’ and a Lunar Roving Vehicle can also be seen in the image. Signed and inscribed by Irwin in bold black ink above and below a facsimile sentiment, ‘His love from the Moon’.
