T.L.S., Jan Pavel II, to the inside of a small oblong 8vo folding Christmas greetings card, the front of which features a colour image of Raphael’s painting La Nativita di Cristo, Vatican, 5 th January 1989, to Mrs. Krystyna, in Polish. The Pope writes, in part, ‘The holidays are over, but the Christmas carols are not over yet, so I would like to extend my warmest New Year’s wishes. May 1989 be rich in grace and God’s blessings’.
