[NAZI OCCULT]: DARRE RICHARD WALTHER: (1895-1953) Argentinean-born SS-Obergruppenfuhrer of World War II. Reich Minister of Food and Agriculture 1933-42. A.L.S., R Walther Darre, four pages, 4to, Berlin, 15th July 1936, to SS-Oberst Wiligut, on the printed stationery of the Reichsfuhrer of the SS, Head of Race and Resettlement Division, in German. Darre states that his correspondent's present has given him great pleasure, remarking 'I shall arrange for a coloured reproduction of the coat of arms to be prepared and, if this design meets with approval, have it officially notified and carried as my arms' and further asking 'Who besides us could bear these arms? 1.) I and my recognised and loved descendants! 2.) My brothers? 3.) My cousins? 4.) My wife? 5.) My sisters? Please tell me honestly what you think about this' and continuing 'Another thing too! What motto? Something quite close to what recently became clear to me in the course of my book on the circular fortification above Wiesbaden in the Taunus: 'Maintenance of the Gothic order, by leadership and procreation'. Or is this way of putting it too direct for a heraldic motto?'. Darre concludes by expressing his firm loyalty to Wiligut. Accompanied by the original envelope hand addressed by Darre. VG Karl Maria Wiligut (1866-1946) Austrian occultist and SS-Brigadefuhrer. Wiligut, who also used the alias Weissthor, was employed within the personal staff and offices of Heinrich Himmler and Karl Wolff, and claimed to be in the tradition of a long line of German mystic teachers, reaching back into prehistoric times. He also claimed to have spiritual powers that allowed him direct access to genetic memories of his ancestors thousands of years in the past. Wiligut contributed significantly to the development of Wewelsburg as the order-castle and ceremonial centre of SS pseudo-religious practice and also designed the Totenkopfring, which Himmler personally awarded to prestigious SS officers.
