BUSH VANNEVAR: (1890-1974) American engineer and inventor, chairman of the United States Office of Scientific Research and Development during World War II, in which position Bush was responsible for the early administration of the Manhattan Project. Bush is portrayed by actor Matthew Modine in the film Oppenheimer (2023).
