STENGEL CASEY: (1890-1975) American baseball player and manager, best known as the manager of the championship New York Yankees of the 1950s and later. Signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photograph of Stengel in a half-length pose holding a proclamation issued by the Mayor of New York City in his hands. Photograph by the New York Times and bearing their credit stamp to the verso. Signed by Stengel in black ink to a light area at the base of the image. One very small, minor tear to the right white border and a few light corner creases, VG
