Rodin enquires as to when his correspondent is coming back to Paris and continues 'Je vous demande ceci pour que nous ne nous trouvions par deboides par quelques pieces. J'attends le plaisir de vous voir…..' (Translation: 'I ask this of you so that we do not find ourselves debilitated by a few pieces. I await the pleasure of seeing you…..' ). Some light age wear, creasing and a few small tears, only very slightly affecting the signature, G Jean Limet (1855-1941) French painter, appointed by Rodin as the patinator of his bronzes and photographer of his work.
