HIRST DAMIEN: (1965- ) - HIRST DAMIEN: (1965-      ) English artist, one of the Young British Artists of the 1990s. A good original pen and ink drawing signed by Hirst, the image executed across facing pages within a small 8vo notebook and depicting a tiger shark. Inscribed ( 'for Natalia xxxx' ) by Hirst to the head of the pages and signed with his name alone beneath the drawing. The notebook also contains numerous other little drawings, observations and notes etc. in the hand of the previous owner, and also includes a loosely inserted airplane ticket stub for a Virgin Atlantic flight from New York to London on 13 th November (2007) and it was whilst waiting to check in for the flight at John F. Kennedy International Airport that the drawing and signature were obtained. Some light age wear, VG A tiger shark features in one of Hirst's most famous artworks, the iconic The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living (1991).
