DE CHIRICO GIORGIO: (1888-1978) - DE CHIRICO GIORGIO: (1888-1978) Italian artist, founder of the scuola metafisica art movement which greatly influenced the surrealists. Signed 13 x 21 poster, printed in black on a striking yellow background, was issued to advertise De Chirico's appearance at the Galleria La Tela on Saturday, 16 th December 1972, on the occasion of the release of Hebdomero in a limited edition of 500 copies numbered and signed by the author. Signed ( 'Giorgio de Chirico' ) by the artist with his name alone in black ink to a clear area of the background. Some light creasing, about VG Hebdomeros is a book (sometimes referred to as a novel) by De Chirico which was originally published in 1929 and has been hailed by some critics as 'probably…the finest' major work of Surrealist fiction.
