ROPS FELICIEN: (1833-1898) Belgian artist. A.L.S., Felicien Rops, one page, 8vo, n.p., n.d., to Nys, in French. Rops informs his correspondent that his letter is being delivered with his maid who has two tubes, asking 'Remplissez moi un de ces tubes d'encre s'il vous plait. Gardez l'autre' (Translation: 'Fill me one of these ink tubes please. Keep the other') and further requesting that all of his brass is returned with the maid, before continuing 'Il y en a un que vous n'avez pas tire. La Goutte (la petite planche avec des amours goutteux)...... J'attends les planches qui doivent m'arriver demain & je vous telegraphierai tout de suite. Je vous serre la main au galop' (Translation: 'There's one you didn't shoot. La Goutte (the little board with gouty cupids)…..I am expecting the plates which should reach me tomorrow & I will telegraph you right away. I shake your hand at a gallop').
