The document takes the form of a letter addressed to Marvin by Howell Begle of the AFI and concerns the James Stewart Life Achievement Award and states, in part, 'On February 28, 1980, The American Film Institute will honor James Stewart with its eighth annual Life Achievement Award. The award will be presented at a dinner at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to be attended by nearly two thousand members of the film community……The Institute's presentation to Mr. Stewart will include a screening of selected clips from his more important films.
