Author of the Napoleonic Code, which still forms the basis of the French civil law; CARNOT LAZARE (1753-1823) French Physicist and politician. Known as the Organizer of Victory in the French Revolutionary Wars; DOUAI PHILIPPE-ANTOINE MERLIN DE (1754-1838) French Politician and Lawyer. President of the National Convention. He voted for the execution of King Louis XVI; CHAZAL JEAN PIERRE (1766-1840) French Convention Deputy. He voted for the execution of King Louis XVI; PELET JEAN (1759-1842) French Politician who opposed to Robespierre and tried to replace the guillotine by other kind of banishments; FOURCROY ANTOINE-FRANÇOIS (1755-1809) French Chemist and Doctor. The document being the appointment of Bouqueau as artillery guard of the arsenals. Individually and boldly signed by the seven Convention deputies at the base of the letter.
