DORE GUSTAVE: (1832-1883) French artist. The personal printed black bordered oblong 12mo Visiting Card of Dore, unsigned, featuring his printed name to the centre and with his address at 7 rue St. Dominique at the base, bearing six lines of text in his hand, in French, 'Mille remerciements pour votre amical souvenir et souhaits bien affectueux pour un an de grace 1882. Quand vous avez une heure de libre venez donc me dire un bonjour [a] rue Bayard. J'ai beaucoup de nouveau a vous faire voir' (Translation: 'A thousand thanks for your friendly memory and very affectionate wishes for a year of grace in 1882. When you have an hour free, come and say hello to me [at] rue Bayard. I have much new to show you'). One heavy crease runs vertically through the card, only very slightly affecting the text. About G
