The personal printed oblong 12mo Visiting Card of Enesco, unsigned, featuring his printed name to the centre, and address at Rue de Bruxelles, Paris, at the base, bearing four lines of text in his hand, in French, 'Avec les meilleurs compliments…(Georges Enesco)…. .espere que Monsieur Ephrussi vondre bien d'interesse de son concert, ce dont il lui serait infiniement reconnaissant' (Translation: 'With the best compliments…(Georges Enesco)…hopes that Mr Ephrussi will be very interested in his concert, for which he would be infinitely grateful'. The recipient of Enescu's visiting card may have been Maurice Ephrussi (1849-1916) French banker and horse breeder, or his elder brother Michel Ephrussi (1844-1914) who together opened a branch of Ephrussi & Co., the family bank, in Paris.
