DWIGHT EDWARD: (1933-     ) American test pilot who, in 1961, became the first African American to have entered the Air Force training programme from which NASA selected astronauts. Dwight was controversially not selected to officially join NASA and subsequently resigned from the air force in 1966. A good vintage signed and inscribed 10 x 8 photograph of Dwight seated in the cockpit of his aircraft. Signed in blue fountain pen ink to the image.
