ROHLFS FRIEDRICH GERHARD: (1831-1896) German Explorer, Geographer and Author. A.L.S., `Gerhard Rohlfs´, one page, small 4to, Weimar, 15th January 1875, on his personal stationery bearing his blind embossed name to the upper left edge, in German. Rohlfs asks his correspondent for a prompt meeting, explaining that he cannot travel to visit him as he is about to depart, stating in part `Sunday evening I am going to start a trip of several weeks as I will be giving speeches in south-Germany. Concerning the format of them, you might be right. This matter, however, can be better discussed in person. May I expect your visit on Sunday noon ?
