Daudet invites his correspondent to come and meet him in order to sort out the Cadol matter, further stating in part `…quelles lignes touchantes tu as écrites sur Droz, et comme on est injuste pour ce délicieux inventeur qui vaut dix fois Ludovic Halévy et que je préfère certes à Meilhac !... Vraiment les temps sont fous. J'ai lu avec délice ton petit article…´ (“…what touching lines you have written on Droz, and how unfair we are to this delicious inventor who is ten times worth Ludovic Halévy and whom I certainly prefer to Meilhac!... Really, times are crazy. I read with delight your little article…”) The present letter is written two days after the death of Antoine Gustave Droz. Paper with The Prince´s watermark.
