GILBERT W. S.: (1836-1911) - GILBERT W. S.: (1836-1911) English librettist, collaborated with the composer Arthur Sullivan. A.L.S.,  W S Gilbert , two pages, 8vo, Grim's Dyke, Harrow Weald, 21 st July 1904, to a gentleman. Gilbert regrets that he has 'no leisure to act as an amateur publisher's reader' and continues to offer his correspondent some advice, 'Your best plan is to get your MS type-written & it will then certainly be read by the reader of any publisher to whom you may send it' .
