STRAVINSKY IGOR: (1882-1971) - STRAVINSKY IGOR: (1882-1971) Russian composer, pianist & conductor. Bold black fountain pen ink signature ( 'I Stravinsky' ) and inscription on a page removed from an autograph album, dated Hollywood Bowl, 1940, in his hand. Some discoloration to the left and lower edges, most likely caused by previous framing, not affecting the inscription or signature, otherwise about VG   A good example of Stravinsky's signature dating from the composer's early period of life in the United States, at a time when he also associated himself with film music; Walt Disney's animated Fantasia of 1940 included parts of Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring.
