BERLIOZ HECTOR: (1803-1869) French Composer. A good A.L.S., H. Berlioz, three pages, small 8vo, n.p. [Karlsruhe], n.d., to Mr. Bennet, Beethoven´s Hall, in Paris, in French. Berlioz explains that he will be the next two days with the rehearsals at the Cathedral, but tells his correspondent that he can join them earlier, later stating in part `… vous nous trouveriez en train de répéter dans la salle du Museum, près de l'Hôtel du Prince héréditaire. Si vous arrivez trop tard pour répéter, au moins vous resteriez à Karlsruhe pour la répétiton du lendemain, et cela vous éviterait un voyage de Bade à Karlsruhe´ (Translation: “…you would find us rehearsing in the hall of the Museum, near the Hotel of the Hereditary Prince. If you arrive too late to rehearse, at least you would stay in Karlsruhe for the next day's rehearsal, and that would save you a trip from Baden to Karlsruhe”) Addressed in his hand to the last page.
