GARSON GREER: (1904-1996) English actress, Academy Award winner for Best Actress in 1942 for her role as Kay Miniver in Mrs. Miniver. A fine vintage signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photograph, the original Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer publicity portrait by Frank Tanner (bearing his credit stamp to the verso) depicting the elegant Garson in a half-length pose. A typed caption to the verso makes reference to Garson's performances in the 1941 films When Ladies Meet and Blossoms in the Dust, the latter of which resulted in Garson receiving a Best Actress Oscar nomination. Signed by the actress in bold black fountain pen ink to the image. About EX
