SAINT EVA MARIE: (1924- ) American actress, Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actress in 1954 for her role as Edie Doyle in On the Waterfront. A good vintage signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photograph of the blonde actress in a head and shoulders pose with her head gently resting on a cushion. Signed in blue fountain pen ink with a lengthy inscription to a clear area of the image, 'To Dear Mac, You are a dear, dear dear! And a Merry Christmas to you too. Many thanks for all your wonderful help. Fondly, Eva Marie Saint'. Curiously, given the reference to Christmas in her inscription, the actress has added the date of July 1959 in her hand. About EX
