PALANCE JACK: (1919-2006) American actor, Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actor in 1991 for his role as Curly Washburn in City Slickers. Vintage signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photograph, the original 1954 Universal Pictures publicity portrait depicting Palance in a head and shoulders pose in the same year that he was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance in Shane (1954). Signed by Palance in bold, dark fountain pen ink to a light area of the background.
