He is best known for his role in the Dreyfus Affair, he strongly supported Dreyfus´ innocence and was arrested. Signed and inscribed 4 x 7 cabinet photograph, the Gerschely photograph, Paris, shows General Picquart standing, in a half length pose, in uniform. Signed and inscribed in bold black ink to the lower left corner (`G. Picquart´), dated 23rd April 1900 in his hand. VG £150-200
