VERLAINE PAUL: (1844-1896) French Poet. Considered one of the greatest in French poetry. A.N.S., P. Verlaine, one page, 8vo, Paris, 18th June 1895, to Mr. Vanier, in French. With several annotations in Verlaine´s hand. The document dictated by Verlaine to Vanier refers to and lists ten poems intended to be included in the collection Varia. The document being a receipt, 50fr for the ten poems, 20fr received on this date. The list of poems include Kermesse of the 20th June, Marceline Desbordes-Valmore, compensation, Torquato Tasso, etc.. The third title has been crossed by Verlaine adding `replaced by a work about Murger Süe´ in Verlaine´s hand. The present note was written by Verlaine six months before passing.
