[BASTILLE WINNERS]: D.S., by several members of the National Guard and police, one page, 4to, Paris, 8th February 1793, with printed heading of the Commune of Paris, to Guillaume Goisset, in French. The partially printed document is a certificate issued in favour of Goisset introducing him as `..is one of the Bastille winners included in the list published by the National Constituent Assembly in the month of June 1790..´ Countersigned by Nicolas Chambon. The document bears on the left lower border a Place de Paris red wax seal in fine condition. G £200-300 Guillaume Antoine Goisset was a Lieutenant of the gunners regiment, aged 30 in 1789. Eight months later he was accused of false testimony and condemned to 20 years imprisonment. Nicolas Chambon de Montaux (1748-1826) Mayor of Paris 1792-93.
