L.S., `Isabel de Bourbon´, with holograph sentence `Receive an affectionate hug which I send from the heart, a sincere friend who wishes very much to see you´, two pages, 8vo, Sevilla, 22^nd May 1877, to Ana de la Grange, in Spanish. The letter bears to the upper left corner a printed Royal coat of arms. The Queen of Spain responds to her correspondent´s letter, thanking her for her kind words and sincere wishes, and further states in part `Al mismo tiempo he tenido el sentimiento de ver que no puede venir a mi lado como yo quería, pero a la vez que deploro no contar con esta satisfacción, aplaudo de todas veras al modelo de hijas que sacrifica su vida y sus aspiraciones al cariño y bienestar de su madre´ (“At the same time I have had the feeling of seeing that you cannot come to my side as I wanted, but while I regret not having this satisfaction, I truly applaud the model of daughter who sacrifices her life and her aspirations for the affection and well-being of her mother”)  Further, the Queen says `Muchos deseos tengo de visitar otra vez la noble Francia, de la que tan nobles recuerdos guardo…´ (“I do very much wish to visit the noble France again, of which I have such noble memories...”) With blank integral leaf.
