MATISSE HENRI: (1869-1954) French Artist. A good A.L.S., `Henri Matisse´, one page, 4to, Nice, 15th November 1938, to Miss Vilma Javor, in French. Matisse explains to her correspondent the reasons why he has to delay their working plan, stating `J´ai été retardé dans mon travail et je ne pourrai pas travailler avec vous avant 2 mois - Je le regrette - Si d´ici là vous changez d´adresse, informez m´en - je vous prie´ ("I have been delayed in my work and will not be able to work with you for 2 months - I regret it - If by then you change your address, let me know - please") Matisse further wishes that his correspondent will get many work orders. Paper with an attractive Vidalon watermark. Very small overall age wear, otherwise VG
